Teaching territories before patterns

Most ECG teaching starts with pattern recognition — inferior STEMI looks like this, anterior looks like that. It works until the pattern is atypical, and then there is nothing underneath it.

Starting from the anatomy gives the trainee something to reason with when the pattern is unfamiliar.
